John Hird

Professionally

John, associated partner, has worked closely with Silverlining Research on a large number of projects since 2020. He is also the owner of the company Hird&Ko, which specializes in the tourism and experience development sector.

Johns areas of expertise include:

– Qualitative methods
– Strategies and stakeholder involvement
– Knowledge transfer
– Tourism, culture and experience development
– Strategic communication

John has designed and implemented analyses, strategies, policies and development plans since 2005 – often focused on balancing the interests of private and public stakeholders. Also, he has for a number of years worked as a trusted strategic advisor to stakeholders in the utility industry.

Over the years John has contributed to the development of a number of qualitative tools and models.

Other facts

Since 1993 John has been an external lecturer at Aalborg University. He is the co-author of a number of articles and books on subjects ranging from sustainability in small and medium-sized companies to analysis of uncontrolled experience-scapes. He is also one of three researchers behind the project “Experience Design in 111 Danish Museums”.
