Test of new seating design for Brussels Airport

Insights into passengers’ seating preferences around gates at Brussels Airport (BRU).

Background

Silverlining Research has in January 2024 carried out a survey for Brussels Airport (BRU) with the purpose of testing three different new designs of seating around specific gates.

The purpose of the survey was to gain passengers’ feedback on which of the 3 seating designs was the most appealing, comfortable, and best fit with BRU.

Method

600 interviews were conducted with 200 interviews on each design. The results were reported in PowerPoint and presented for BRU with recommendations on which design to move forward with.

Results

Improving the customer experience is a strategically important topic for BRU. This survey has provided BRU with clear insights into customer preferences, thus offering a better basis for decision-making.
